Hi there good people. I have a 150 sprint that seems to leak oil into the rear drum which isn't great considering this is a braking mechanism. I thought the correct seal was a 27x47x6 https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/oil+seal+driveshaft+_91031000 but this is what I have installed and there is still a leak on the driveshaft. Anybody know whether there is another reason as to why I have the leak as shown in my image below - perhaps I am using the wrong oil seal and if so what would be the correct one to use to replace with please.[/img]

The seal looks like it’s “chewed”. Measure the diameter of the hub. Later ones were 30mm...

Yes, check that you have the correct seal ID for the hub that you have. Also, check the sealing surface on the hub, as it may not be in good condition, or even a good shape, judging by the damage to the seal.

Thanks guys you are quite right. The funny thing is I didn’t notice that the seal was damaged until you mentioned that it looked chewed. Went back and sure enough it looks all messed up. I did measure it up and looks like the right size for a re-order.

Thanks again
