I actually kind of like it on my Stella, but it has that Mad Max aesthetic going anyway. Plus, the thing works sooooooo well

I like that 4.5" JW Speaker... agree with Ginch, the looks don't bother me as long as it fits in the headset. Says it puts out 720 lumens on high beam, which is probably 700 more than my current headlight.

I'm still working on the headlight for the Sprint. The 4.5" JW Speaker is the smaller, but also significantly cheaper option. $79 USD. A lot less light, though:
Low beam 430 raw / 240 effective lumens High beam 1,075 raw / 430 effective luments Versus the 4.75" at $244 USD for: 1,330 Raw Lumens (440 Effective Lumens) for Low Beam 2,230 Raw Lumens ( 840 Effective Lumens) for High Beam So just under double the light for 3x the price. Really, I think that it's going to come down to whether I can fit the 4.75 into the headset. It's 3" deep, which might be too much. |

And then there's this other one from JW Speaker, which doesn't appear to be as ugly as some of the others, and at 5.75" should fit a PX headset:
https://headlightrevolution.com/jw-speaker-reflector-led-headlights-model-8620-5-75-round-headlights/ What's the deal with the installation though? I don't see anything on the outside of this thing to enable connecting it to anything, really. Or do they expect people to jury-rig something? |

I drilled and tapped some M6 holes in two of the cooling fins, then fabbed up a couple of brackets to mount the one in my Stella.
You can see the first version mounts, which were sheet aluminum prototypes, which I then used as guides to make the final brackets out of 16ga sheet steel. The 5.75" lights are all intended to be mounted in rings on Harley's or whatnot, so no mounting brackets by default. |

While I was out in the garage, I measured the room inside the headset and the 4.75" JW Speaker is waaaaay too deep to fit in there. It would extend almost all the way back to the ignition switch.
So, with that in mind, I'll be ordering the 4.5", which will come back to just a shade forward of the high beam indicator, which should be fine. |

LOL!
I may be suffering now, but at least I'll never have to park my Vespa by the pool to work on it because it's so hot out. |
