Has anybody successfully installed a Vespatronic on an early double-yellow P200 while retaining the stock wiring harness and battery? The instructions are shit. I am thinking that the white coming from the Vespatronic stator should connect to one of the stock yellow wires on the engine side then that yellow wire should connect to #4 on the Vespatronic regulator which will charge the battery if B on the regulator is connected to the + on the battery. Blue and red on the vespatronic connect to the CDI and #3 on the regulator goes to the turn signal flasher while #2 is a ground? What I am not sure of is where to connect the purple headlight wire and the green kill wire on the engine side. Anyway, I would appreciate any bridge diagrams or suggestions.
