A Rider reviews his 2016 MPS 500 IE.

Does a 0-60 speed test. I found it interesting to watch

interesting. noticed he was using the master key versus the normal. 5.5 seconds to 60 seems pretty optimistic by my reckoning.

0-60mph time actually about 8 seconds
I just re-watched this video and timed his run and it was almost exactly 8 seconds. - Which makes more sense since that is the acceleration I've timed on my older, but lighter MP3 500.
While he is right on the money in most of his other comments, I didn't understand the issue with too much wind hitting him while riding. I suspect his windshield is mis-installed or at the wrong angle. I have the "standard" dealer installed aftermarket mid-height windshield and am perpetually amazed at the lack of wind and/or rain hitting me while riding. Only an expensive touring bike would give more wind/rain protection.

Yeah the speed test was off when he said it. I thought when I watched it was about 8 seconds as well

Funny story: that's MY MP3 500. I bought it from the guy in the video in late October 2017. It's much quicker now since I've installed 21g Dr Pulley sliders, heavier springs in the clutch and did an airbox mod. Now when I accelerate it'll actually kick in the traction control if the rear tires hits any bumps up to about 40 MPH.

That's because it was the only key he had and what he gave me when I bought it.
