Just finished my first long ride. I rode from Long Beach ca to Buellton ca. Spent one night a flying flags resorts then returned home. Around 405 miles total. Bike ran great it was a little cold riding. But glad I had installed heated grips. Great ride. Got to visit with some old friends.

Wow sounds like an amazing ride. What was the most interesting thing you found on a 200mi trip?

Nice Long Ride
200 milles a day makes for a good manageable ride.

We try to keep our single day group rides around 200 miles. Many riders have to travel 10-40 miles to get to the kick off location. After coffee we ride one
hour, rest/fuel stop 1/2 hour, ride one hour, lunch 1 hour, then repeat back to the kick off point.

I know there are some who "have a need for speed". They may do 300-500
miles in one day. The majority of our group ride routes are on back roads taking in scenery and the rural countryside.

We travel freeway only to kick off points - then on to the scenic byways of
Lake Wobegon Minnesota, and Cheesy Wisconsin.

Thanks for the photo of your scoot.
