Thinking maybe of buying a Zuma or a Hooligan if not.
I saw that if a scooter was legal in 2018, it would be legal in 2020.

It might change, but a GTS 300 was legal last year.

I just got a Zuma 125 and gave it some consideration, but it topped out at 55 mph. Not really competitive unless I can find a way to get it to 65.

Bill
Upgear the final drive and improve the aerodynamics with a tail fairing. You'll lose a bit of hill-climbing ability though.

My stock, 18K+ mile, carbed S150 tops out at 65 MPH (sea level, no wind, no drafting, level ground). Without the low windscreen and a faired-in tail bag, it might hit 61 MPH.

I didn't run 2012 either though I did participate in the Texas bbq in Abilene. Heck I even brought a replacement tire to Jess.

I always fill up the night before after getting my final checkpoint photo.

I'm working on a sales pitch for support drivers. Keep coming up with something like "All the work but none of the fun!" or "Perfect for those who like to see what they're missing out on!" or "Do you enjoy helping others have a blast while you are bored to death? Sign up now!"

Getting to the starting line...
is always the toughest part.

I've considered doing this event several times in the past, but I always end up never being able to pull it off.

I'm more optimistic about my 2020 chances though!

Well it was either that day or the next when it hit 112f, whichever it was bloody damned hot so folks were leaving at 2am to get to the higher elevations in New Mexico.

I think if the man says "enough" then we should respect that decision and not try to talk him back around.

I'll respect anyone who says that they don't want to do something anymore.

Well done that man.

Day 1: Bar Harbor, Maine to Killington, Vermont
Day 2: Killington, Vermont to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Most run is probably 4in6iscool, Maroy or feb31st.

Hmm....

On the one hand, I logged over 3,000 miles of dirt this summer. Booya!

On the the other hand, it was all on my Honda CRF250L, for which the Vespa says she's quite grateful.

Also, I find the map of the US highly misleading, as it disguises how the flatness of the Midwest in fact turns each and every straight mile into a cubic year of one's life that can never be gotten back.

Come-on tdrake, this week be a totally different cannonball from last year, more miles less dirt. No trails this upcoming year though the days probably won't be any shorter.

There are at least 3 women register of the 25 as of noon. Max registration is capped at 75 so 1/3 capacity.

On the one hand, I logged over 3,000 miles of dirt this summer. Booya!

On the the other hand, it was all on my Honda CRF250L, for which the Vespa says she's quite grateful.

Also, I find the map of the US highly misleading, as it disguises how the flatness of the Midwest in fact turns each and every straight mile into a cubic year of one's life that can never be gotten back.
tdrake - it's going to be aLOTTA miles in 2020.....with that said...I just registered. I would love to see you and your fellow GT200 there!
I can get your oil bottle back to you if that helps push you over the edge. Razz emoticon

Is anyone doing this from Tri-state area?

EDIT: I see there is a thread about long haul shipping west to east for before and a few that are sticking their hands up for afterwards. I would only consider doing this if the afterwards shipping happens.

Total of 40 rider registration in the first 12 hours today, rough estimate I'd say 75% are first time entrants.

Actually, I believe Scott has run only one SCR. 2018. He won.

Most run is probably 4in6iscool, Maroy or feb31st.
I believe Mark/Maroy & I are tied with 5 finishes with no support truck assistance. Mark has done all 5 on the same scooter. I think Bagel & 4n6 also have 5 but some misfortune.
