Little background... Bought the mp3 back in September of '18.
After hours socializing with some buddies at the local Vespa dealership. We were just tire kickin' and bs-ing ... talked mp3, we asked "how much?", he threw out a number, I said "sure, I'll take it". I got a bunch of bikes, 1 more wont hurt.
Took it home, rode it 1 Sunday afternoon for maybe 100mi.Seemed ok. Put it under a tarp in the garage and forgot about it.
Fast Forward to a couple weeks ago- buddies are getting a trip together for Thunder Beach( Panama City Beach, FL.) So I think it'd be a good chance to wring it out. Trailered bikes down, rode about 600mi in 3 days in FL.
It kept up fine, had plenty of zip. Was a dream in town(not having to shift).
About 60mpg. But!!! That was my problem...my butt! That last day I was raw-even with an air-hawk.
It just doesn't fit me. It'd be fine for jazzin' around on short runs- but for me and 12 hours in the saddle- nope.
Things that bugged me- well this is America, MPH please not Km. That dashboard! Harder than Chinese arithmatic to navigate. ECO mode-whats that for? Nursing Home Parking Lots? A nanny minder that tells you how fast it's been?
Then theres the "notch, airbox oil, fuzzy washers, super sliders and on and on and on.... to much for this old guy. It's a great machine, NOT sorry I bought it- but it's going to a new home and I'm going to a GTS300 for scooter stuff. I guess I learned scooters AIN'T motorcycles- but BOTH are sure as heck fun!
