We just got our first few ones. Should be getting 15 more in the next few days. More colors. Some other dealers have gotten some of the other colors already.

Really loving the new blue SuperSport color.

got our demo up and going.

Had to do a quick drag race 2019 vs a new 2020 HPE.

The HPE def is faster, pulls harder thru the midrange.

How does it compare to a Malossi kitted 2019 with a Force Master 2? I'm guessing you will not to be able to answer that but I would love to see how one compares to my scoot out of curiosity.

we have a very kitted out older GTS here, Malossi head/ bigbore plus some other very trick stuff...the HPE is not faster than that one. Not too far off though.

if the riders had maybe a 60-70lb weight difference with the heavy person on the HPE, the lighter person on a stock 2019, it would probably be real close.

Top speed was the same it seems so far, but the HPE is still very new.

Cool, I appreciate the response.

I was kind of wondering if Piaggio would want one of their stock Vespa's going over 100 MPH for whatever reason. Handling, the small wheels, etc, etc. You hopefully understand what I mean.

Wow. Walked the 19 gts. Thanks for the vid. Thankfully the nodded one is quicker...for now. Until mods arrive for the hpe. I'll get an hpe when some decent mods are available.

Thanks for reminding us, again, per Colin Chapman, add lightness. Basically, variators/heads/exhaust don't matter for squat when you're crushing chips while downing Budweiser. Not that I drink Bud.

Wow! - I see no point in spending all that time and money trying to modify the power output on your current GTS. Just simply trade it in for a new HPE.

I have a 2017 GTV and like it that way. Kitting is really just more a fun thing. If I want to move I have a 650CC BMW parked next to the Vespa. Pretty sure I can't get this in an HPE and am not about to give it up.

While I'm all about getting the best experience from a bike, and I do enjoy tweaking, I subscribe to the notion that a GTS is NOT meant for the interstate and speeds above 70 mph. I tend to cruise the back roads at 50-60 and enjoy the scenery. Acceleration mods are something I could get into and the HPE seems to address this. Anyone know of the best variator/DR Pulley for increased 35-55 performance? J Costa?

Decades ago a Harley guy was found riding a Goldwing as $thousands spent on the HD would never equal the power of the 6 cyl Wing. Basically, each bike has it's purpose and for me, the Vespa is all about enjoying the ride, not the speed. If I need comfort at interstate speeds, I roll out my Honda CTX700DCT.

However, my scooter gets 4X the miles that my other bike does.

Just sayin'

Thanks for the video. I'm on the fence but leaning toward waiting for a 2020.

The Vespa PR says the new one is quieter. Is it when you compare them side by side?

I'd be tempted to try and hang back until 2021. It can take a while for a modified engine and the revised constituent parts to show up any manufacturing defects. I know that product recalls can be issued to rectify any faults, but I would still prefer to wait until the new scooter has been thoroughly tried and tested for reliability.

Any other differences noticed? Is the transmission quieter? Does the seat feel different?

did not notice but will retest.

The stand outs are the increased power, midrange and acceleration, updated body styling, new lights, and new front cooling vents. Really like the smoothed out upper cowl, but they've had that a couple years now.

Still a vespa GTS underneath. Don't feel bad about a discounted deal on an outgoing 2018/2019 model if its the color you really want.

Am I seeing the LED headlight stock on the new models?

I'm pretty new to vespas, is it just the American bikes that have those reflectors on the sides? I'm pretty sure the UK don't have those (or if they do I've never noticed).

only a US thing...on the 50/150s we also have separate front turn signals.

Ww have them in Canada as well. Sometimes Americans forget we are up here sharing a continent with them

Thanks for the drag race! How often do they change up the colours? I'm drooling over the HPE but I want a matte yellow model… might end up going for the shiny one though if it's going to be a few years…
