He really went through the grinder in the past year and I just don't want him to be forgotten.

Poor guy.

Thanks Bill.

Now go on a few random rides and plant those seeds. The beauty of that is so many of us gave and those seeds represent us.

I miss Bitza, we will never have another one.

Thank you.

I'm going to take a good ride out one day and plant those seeds somewhere meaningful.

This place feels very empty without him.

Sad days.

An excellent idea idea Bill Dog, good to think of wild flowers growing in memory of Bitza.

That card is a superb idea. I'd want it somewhere I'd be able to watch them grow.

That's a very fair point.

I'm going to have to think long and hard about this one.

So sad.

maybe when you come to the states next time a few seeds could be planted along your ride, then a few here may possibly be able to visit them, if there is enough... just a random thought.

Oh, that hospice will continue spreading the comfort that their patients and their families need at a time they need it most.

At a time in my life 19 years ago, when everything seemed to be turning to shit, hospice was there to help my family (me and my kids, 5 and 2 at the time) get through it all.

Glad Bitza was surrounded by his family and hospice....

I'm in this frame of mind.

They are wild flowers so... Beachy Head? Above the white cliffs off.

Even at your local crematorium? Somewhere they will thrive.

Sit quietly and have a ponder.

Waters Road Allotments, a gardener's retreat? and near Douglas Road, Kingswood Bristol. Home of Vespa manufacturing in the UK. They might be "protected" there?

If you fancy a ride out west?

Thanks Bill Dog for sharing. Did Bitza ever mention a place he enjoyed? If so, maybe that would be the place to plant.

You could cut it up and send little Bitzas out to a bunch of UK members to grow.

That would be cool.

Thank you for your suggestions guys.

I'm in the US from June 27th for a couple of weeks and then I'll be back in October so I may bring it with me then.

We'll see.

Plenty of time.

So
I may have said this previously but his son mentioned that towards the end there weren't too many friends visiting because they really didn't know what to say and so they said and chose to do nothing and not visit.

I tried my best to stay in touch daily by text just to make sure that he didn't feel forgotten.

He was truly humbled by the donation organised by Judy a while back and he admitted to crying over the level of help he'd received numerous times.

Bless him.

That's actually quite a valid point. I don't know what the U.S. importation restrictions are like, but if they think the seeds might pose a biodiversity risk they could well get confiscated. I think you'd be hard pushed to bring them into somewhere like Australia where it is taken very seriously.

You'd better find a good hiding place for them Bill!

That was a consideration that I didn't voice earlier.

I'm thinking that the bast place for these seeds will be the UK.

If you'd like to grow Bitza's seeds please pm me your address and I'll send you a strip of the impregnated card.

Good plan.

Times like that are often difficult for some people, they don`t know what to do for the best. I`m sure Bitza appreciated all you did to keep in touch, you were a true friend.

Yikes. Some of the best are gone. Iíve not kept up and wondered why the black header. Tears and good memories. Iíve a pal I lost track of. I thought maybe I pissed him off. Only to find he passed suddenly. This is the hardest part of growing old and pushing 70. The good die young. Gives me a couple of decades...
