Iím a big fan of the tucano urbano legskirts - since I ride in winter and during rainy seasons.

As of this year, I think itís the third year in a row where my tucano is installed on my scooter I started to notice that it slowly lets water trough.

If I remember correctly when my leg skirt was new the water simply repelled from the surface - just like waxed paint.

Now it just gets wet and I believe it slowly gets wet on the inside.

Whatís the best thing to do here?

Clean first and the use a wash in waterproofing product? Aerosol can waterproofing product?

Anyone else has experience with this?

Thanks,

Alex

Not with the urbano but with camping gear if it fits and can be washed we put it in the washer, let it dry. Once clean then wash with the waterproofing stuff you wash in and finish with the spray stuff. I'm a believer in that extra bit of protection.

Just go and buy another one.

Yep, that'd be my solution. There is stuff you can apply but it won't be as good as new. I bought mine a few years ago, I don't think they are "that" expensive? Plus you get the newest skirt so will be current with the fashion trends.

This will work for a few years. You wash it in.

Good stuff, but better with membrane gear.

I'm thinking the candle wax... yeah not so much. May as well convince a hive of bees to make a hive around the skirt.
