I am on the 2nd part of a two part journey. The first part was Oyster #3 when I moved Fred from FLA to NC for some family reunions. He was left there as i would return to continue on northward to upstate NY. I plan to meet up with WLeuthold in NY after he drops is daughter off after their little adventure.
I will drop a line or two here from time to time. Right now I am in WV on day 8 of the northern trek. Details are here..... https://2019oystertour.blogspot.com/

Pictures are in the email channel coming I hope.

I stopped in Hertford NC to visit Raputtak. I left owning his 2016 GTS 300. It is bitter sweet in that I got another scooter, but Tim will be leaving the Vespa world. Thank you Tim and do hope you drop in to MV from time to time with updates.

From Tim's house I headed up the rural roads with the destination of the Air and Space museum. On the way I stopped in to visit Bob at Bob's Cycle Barn. It is located on his plantation with seven miles of trails and a couple of moto-cross tracks.

Bob looks a little tired as he was busy setting up motorcycles to go off for a weekend of fun.

Nice Ride
Excellent pictures. Used to live in Smithfield, NC and Sterling, Virginia. Tons of scenic byways and twisty roads along the Mid Atlantic coast.

Thanks.

I used to fly out of the airport in the last century. There are some nice roads through that area.

Crossing the Neuse River
I used to live near the mouth of the Neuse river. My dad was stationed at Cherry Point, near Havelock, NC back in the early to mid-1970's. It's probably changed a lot since then...

Though WLeuthold has forsaken MV for AVRider, I am sticking here. Still motoring along and hope to meet up with Bill tomorrow in Troy, NY. I have been to Reading and Allentown PA and several days in Princeton NJ and this evening finds me in the Catskill Motel in LIberty NY. Great riding so far. Hope to update the blog after a happy hour drink in the room. To cold for this Florida boy and I don't drink and ride.

Iím not dead yet!

After riding to Maggie Valley, NC, two dayís riding while there, then two days to New York City to pick up my daughter, Kylie, then the Catskills, Green Mountains, White Mountains and now Portland, I will be riding tomorrow to meet you in Troy.

I hate to send Kylie off tomorrow, but look forward to several days riding with you around the area. After a day off.

For whatever itís worth, Max has been perfect on this trip. Rocket probably would have been too.

Bill

These pictures arrived backwards in the time line. This is a Buddhist monastery we stumbled on. The building actually was built for the Jesuit Priest but was abandoned due to cost and lacking priest. The Buddhist bought it ten years ago

I came across him short of Woodstock but that was his destination. I think he had been there before.

Sorry I missed getting up with you.

A test
I think the GPS tracking on the map at the bottom of the page is only if the pictures come from your cell phone so this is a test. If you see GPs points at the bottom of the page then it is true.
