Pulled apart my carb for a clean and found these three gaskets underneath the bottom carb gasket between the carb and the carb box around the carb bolts. Nearly shat myself when I lifted the carb and they almost fell into the motor. Why would they be in there? They must have created a gap between the carb and the box rendering the bottom gasket useless. Anybody seen this before?

Bodge up mate. They shouldn't be there. What else has the previous owner done?

I reckon it was like that from the factory. I bought it with 4K km on the clock. I don't think anyone had been in there before.

Carb question si
They look like inlet fuel gaskets. The gasket that goes on the fuel (banjo) inlet to the carb. Show a picture of the scooter.....might tell us why the gaskets are in that location. Scott

It's a 2003 PX200 - the one in my profile pic. I'll have to check but I think that they're bigger than the fuel banjo gasket. They fit perfectly over the Allen bolts that secure the carb.

No air leak? Iím not versed on newer scoots, but some are. Hopefully they will respond. Scott

Cheers Scott. Air leak? That's what I would have thought but it has always run well. Seems to be running better after carb clean and new plug but yet to take it for a good run.
