I have cleaned and rebuilt the carb on my scooter. I have disassembled and put the auto lube back together. All holes have been blown clear. I'm getting oil to the auto lube assembly. When I use the shaft and gear to turn the auto lube gear, I get no oil dripping into the channel under the carb box. Wondering what's wrong?? Also wondering what the screw/jet with spring on the side of the auto lube does and whether it is an adjustment. Thanks for any help.

The screw with the spring on the side is a check valve. Itís not adjustable.

Double check to make sure you re-assembled it correctly and all the parts are there. See diagram below.

Oil moves very slow through the pump. The drive gear (#65) has to be spinning at a pretty high rpm for oil to move through the line. How exactly are you testing it?

I have the drive shaft chucked into a variable speed drill.

I've not taken the actual horizontal pump apart, only the housing, the gear assembly and the "donut". (54, 60 , 63 and 59 assembly.)

How long and a what speed should I run the chucked gear before I should see oil flow?

Introduce a bubble into the oil line where it connects to the metal tube. Run the drill around 1000rpm. If the pumpís working the bubble should move slowly into the tube. Keep at it and eventually you should see oil dribbling out the hole at the bottom of the carb box.

Thanks, great idea. I'll go give it a shot. I think all is working well, but I'm afraid that if it's not and I reassemble the carb and start it up, the engine will seize w/o any oil. ( Before it was running with pre-mix)

Thanks SoCalGuy. Success. Oil makes it to channel in bottom of carb box. I'm putting it all back together tonight and will start it up tomorrow.
