Going to use this thread to document any mods, tweaks, conversions etc as they are completed.

Recently acquired this 2014 GTV300 and immediately set out to make (mostly) safety related improvements....namely, LED lighting. As part of the first order I placed with Scooterwest I did also grab some new knee pads and grips. The knee pads aren't an exact match and I'm not sure I'll keep them on....may depend on how useful the power plug proves to be. And for the grips, I neglected to order the glue, though in a subsequent order, currently in transit, I did remember to do that.

Anyway, here goes...

June 12, 2019 - Replace stock knee pad covers.

Simple plug and play connection behind the knee pad cover on left side for the power socket.

Replacement tan coloured knee pads with power socket

Original knee pads

June 14, 2019 - Headlight LED Conversion

12 Volt 1 Watt White LED Bulb - Part#12V194-LED
LED H4 Headlight Kit - Part# LEDH4

Followed along with Robot in the YouTube tutorial vids and generally a breeze. Only challenge was space in the headlight housing....there is none. So everything needs to be tucked into that bracket behind the headlamp....VERY tight. Unfortunately I didn't grab a pic of that because once I had it packed I was afraid to let it go.

LED headlight ready for install

Remove gasket and old bulb

Replaced the small running light too

Thermal dissipation braiding on LED bulb

Running light

Headlight on. (Need to replace that other running light with single small LED bulb)
