Good day All,

After a little bit of searching, I can't find the oil code that is required for the 500HPE. If I recall correctly, it is 10W40 for the oil weight but the approved manufacture code I don't recall. JASO xxxx. Anyone help me out. Mine is new with only 3400km, and I always stick with the manufacturer oil recommendation in terms of the code, not the oil manufacturer brand per se, although I think they are recommending Castrol.

Example would be VW long life approved oil is VW 507/00 on the back of the bottle and that is what I am looking for in regards to Piaggio.

Just like to keep a liter in the MP3 for top off sake.

Thanks.

There is a novelty in the manual for the 500HPE, it is said that the MINIMUM standard is: SAE 5W40 (this leaves the possibility to 5w50 or 5W60 depending on the temperature of the place of use or the journeys made) JASO MA; MA2; SL API; ACEA A3.

The official partner is actually CASTROL.

Minimum viscosity standard, or minimum quality/wear standard?

Exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you.

I did check the manual but didn't see that. Will have to look through it again and see. Maybe I just missed it while skimming through looking for it.
