The rubber boot that covers the oil pressure sensor leads to a bundle of cables and then off to somewhere beyond my knowledge. There is a wire inside the boot that connects to the sensor. My question, is there any way oil could travel through the rubber hose leading to the boot and out the boot near the sensor? I have a small oil leak thatís been going on for a while. It will drop a little after riding. Drops down the kick stand, inside the muffler, etc. I noticed there was a drop of oil at the end of the boot. Would this be coming from around the sensor itself or through the rubber hose leading to the boot? Thanks in advance!
Both of my Vespas developed a leak at the oil pressure sensor. One sensor leaked at the copper gasket requiring only tightening with a wrench. The other leaked thru the sensor body at the terminal and got replaced. The oil wonít be coming from the wire bundle.
