Hello everyone, new to the Vespa scene. This last Saturday I unexpectedly was gifted a 2004 ET4 150 from my fiance's mother. We had gone to pick up our golf cart we had stored at her house and she had mentioned that the Vespa in the corner hasn't been ridden in about 8 years and that if I could get it running again I could have it. So naturally I took it!

I finally got it running but wanted to make sure that I'm taking care of all of the maintenance items that I can to make sure this lasts us a long time.

So far I have:
Aired up tires
Drained and replaced fuel (Recreational Fuel No Ethanol)
Bought a new battery and batteryminder.
Purchased:
4T 10W-40 Oil (It's very hot in Florida)
New Oil Plug Gasket, Oil Filter, Air Filter/Air Filter Oil
New Oil Screen
Iridium Spark Plug
Gear Oil (75W-90)
All from Scooterwest.

Other than what I've listed, is there anything else I need to take care of?
I plan on cleaning the carb later this week but it seems to run just fine.

Only 447 miles on it!

Welcome to MV.

Maybe change the belt?

Brakes will need fresh fluid too.

Nice scooter! You can ditch the floor matt, when stuff inevitably gets under there it'll scratch up the paint.

Airing up the tires for now is ok, but I would plan to replace them soon.

The fuel lines will eventually give you troiuble, so I would replace them soon too.

Brake fluid too.

I wouldn't worry about the belt for now.

You are a lucky fellow.

I would verify the tires for cracks. Depending on how it was stored. Old rubber can be dangerous. Just my 2.

Next time you change oil switch it back to 5W-40. The 10W-40 does nothing to help you.

Thanks! I didn't think about brake fluid, I will add that to the list!

I'm very lucky, hence why I want to make sure I take very good care of this so I can enjoy it for a long time. Thanks for the advice!
