Three of us at least are doing this.

Who wants to join?

Buffalo / Rochester MVers should meet us there.

Please chime in.

I would gladly join you.

Simply too many commitments and a your ride is long way from home.

But I will head your way one of these days.

I'm in but you know that. Thankfully this thread got a bump and with it being a long weekend many are probably not loging in.

We will ride together again, though perhaps not Toronto to Niagara

Although for the time being I have two bikes, and there are direct flights to Toronto...

I would love to join in, but I don't think my LXV150 is up to handling the 401.
Also, since getting my first Vespa last spring, I have spent a lot of my "free" time looking after my mother who is suffering from progressive dementia.

Have a safe ride! Hope to meet my Vespa-loving Toronto neighbours at some time.

Too bad as we'd love to have you and did decide if we had an "avoid motorways" rider with us we would do that. Still your mother is obviously much more important and hopefully next time we get together in the city we can all meet.

I will certainly take you up on your offer in the future.

This year is getting too busy with two rides in Wisconsin coming up, followed by a two week plus ride in Portugal.

I designed two houses and boathouses on two islands in Lake Joseph several years ago. I would enjoy seeing the area again and if we could secure a boat, seeing both Islands.

A ride up to Lake Joseph would be amazing and so worth planning.

Please tell us more about those Wisconsin rides.

I agree with Harbinger. Going down to Niagara on alternate roads is perfectly fine with me.

The first is late July.

I am going to ride Max to Chicago. Then my son Sam will ride with me to meet a small group of friends in Ludington, Michigan as they depart the ferry.

From there we will circumnavigate Lake Michigan.

I will ride back to Chicago with Sam where I will leave the Xmax for a month while I fly home.

Fly back in late August to pick up the scooter, ride to meet up with a larger group for Fledermaus' Wisconscoot.

Then ride it home.

Should be yet another 3000+ mile ride for me, but spread out into two parts.

Cant wait to get started.

Hey fellow Vesparians,

Any updates on this ride? I am still in town until August 22, then we are off to do a Vespa tripling the Amalfi coast.

Hey man, sorry meant to get back to you. My FIL is now in palliative care and my wife will be in Guelph again next weekend meaning I have to stay home with our 2 dogs. We have an almost 15 year old yorkie we can't leave with anyone else. My in-laws are in a palliative care apartment which is apparently very nice but my MIL has dementia so needs help and my wife and BIL share the duties. My BIL is retired and lives in Guelph but my wife still helps when she can and visits a lot since her dad starting going a bit south.

A fall trip to Niagara sounds awesome anyway as all the crops will be up and the food fantastic. So when you get back and let's make this happen.

If we go 2 weekends from now I should be able to go though.

Does that mean the weekend of July 27-28 could work?

If so Iím in.

August is a write-off since Iíll be on the west coast the first two weeks, and in Quebec City the third week.

Well the funny thing is I'll be doing this tomorrow through Saturday. Bringing the Ural in for winterizing including tires. From the dealership (Acton) I'm thinking of heading over to Niagara-on-the-Lake and from there Niagara Falls. Not sure where I will get a hotel room yet and will just see what I can book online. definitely at least one night with a falls view. Weather is showing a chance of snow... not sure how I feel about that as I did buy the Ural for winter riding but would prefer to practice closer to home. But oh well it's not I haven't been stuck in some really nasty weather on 2 wheels and this time I have a 3rd on the pavement. I've been planning on this for a long time but life has a way of getting in the way. One thing that may stop a road trip is the check engine light is on but I don't think it is a big deal. I let the battery drain to nothing by accident and log story short got that sorted out and the engine light has been on since. Hopefully something minor, I imagine it is. I prefer not to spend the night in Acton or take the Go Bus home while the dealer orders parts... we'll see.

If I do wind up on the road trip I'll post a short ride report and some pics. Hoping to get a little riding in and will go to at least one cheesy museum in Niagara Falls. I've never spent any time in a casino so I may give that a whirl as well and may even wind up at that hotel anyway.

Bah, snow here this morning and my wife was watching the news and all the stories about car wrecks so I was told not today... so tomorrow it is. On the bright side I'm going to go Best Buy to pick up a GoPro mount for the sidecar nose rack.
