Background- My T5 engine fitted into a Px frame died on me last week after 20 mins of smooth running on its way to the MOT test center, all parts were sitting in various garages for years and pulled together to get project porky (now called The Pig) up and running as a daily commuter. T5 engine was never split and was bought running.

So far - fuel fine and new plenty getting down the carb, diagnosed no spark
Fitted new CDI lead and plug - no spark
Pulled kill wire of - no spark
Disconnected loom from engine - no spark
Tested stator white to casing dead short other wires 100 ohm and 400ohm to white
Removed flywheel each section will hold a 22mm spanner
Removes stator no obvious damage or crappy wire
Reassembled everything- no spark

Am I missing anything before I go and buy a new stator?

Test stator. White to Green should be 500 ~ 540 ohm. White to Red should be 100 ~ 110 ohm. White is ground that's why it seems as shorted to ground...

The original stator was testing ok but I eventually bought another as it was the only part of the ignition system not swapped out for new, scooter started first kick👍
