Hey MV Folks!

I have often read about the cheap exhaust bushings which can be had for 5 quid or so.

Anyone have a link?

How about your local supplier

https://www.louis.de/artikel/auspuffdichtungen-endtopf-und-kruemmer-verschiedene-groessen/10042960

You want this size:
10042962 Exhaust Gasket Muffler Manifold, 32X38X30

I bought four on eBay for $5 each a couple years ago. They were Yamaha bushings but the same size as the Piaggio ones. They worked fine but didn't last as long. When comparing them to the Piaggio bushings you could see a difference in the manufacturing quality.

Haven't been able to locate a link for you though. Some searching may reveal it. And I probably learned about it here.

There's this one....I've bought a few. Interesting on the durability issue. Haven't had enough experience on it to judge....

I can guarantee this is an exact fit for OE. https://www.ebay.com/itm/HYspeed-Exhaust-Pipe-to-Muffler-Silencer-Gasket-Connector-Graphite-Seal-17-0011/301843197190

I tried the Yamaha part. It was tight. I couldn't get it on the head pipe without damaging it. I bought a couple of Chinese bushings from ebay. Both fit perfectly. Neither made it through the shipping without being damaged beyond use.

SIP has them for $10.99 - part number PI846097

I bought a few the last time I ordered from SIP.

The local Vespa dealer wanted $27.

Thanks!
I went with Louis and JimC's info on size.
Thanks everybody for the help.
Ordered two for myself and two for PreddyBaer, my Berlin Buddy in Vespa life.

29 EUR from my mechanic... crazy.
And he seems to be a little flippant with how often I need one.
Had to have two in 2018. He blamed my switch from summer to winter tires...
I get it. But two?

Now if anyone knows the perfect carrying vessel to keep it in my glove box safely...

If memory serves me right, there was talk about it here a few years ago.
My first thought was a 35mm film canister but I think that might be too small. Maybe you can make one using some pieces of PVC pipe.

+1 We have a bunch.

They're a bit tall, but there's also room for a replacement spark plug down the middle.
