I'm in So. Daytona for a week or two. I took the Wasp downtown to play an open mic, noticed she was extremely loud. After jamming, when I started her up, I reached underneath and sure enough, there's a puff. Not surprised after the week we just had.
Luckily, I brought 2 with me and I need to change the oil as well.
Here's the point...Going to Harbor Freight in the morning for the pipe expander. Is there a particular size to get?

Take one of the bushings with you to Harbor Freight and get an expander that is slightly smaller.

Never needed a pipe expander to get the pipe back on. You may be over tightening the clamp.

I've never replaced it myself. This will be the first time.
I know lots of folks do it without the pipe tool, but I prefer to use the tools recommended.
For $16, why not?

Last two times I removed the exhaust it slipped on just fine without the tool....or a new bushing. Tool is nice to have, but I suspect mine won't get a lot of use outside of my shop. Nerd emoticon

Drive down I-95 to Titusville, exit 220 and I'll give you one.

I have changed lots of them. The expander is not necessary but makes it easier to slide the gasket into the pipe.

I usually use large pliers to tighten the tangs back down a bit before slipping it back over the header pipe. It makes sliding the clamp over it easier and seems to make the assembly last longer.
