Hi, I currently run 4.00x8 tyres on my VBB on original rims. Been running them for years with no problem. I just got a flat so I am thinking about tubeless rims.

Can I put 4.00 x 8's on SIP tubeless rims?

Heidenau K75's come in 110/80, 120/70, and 3.50x8. How big and wide are the 3.50's compared to the 110's and 120's?

The tyres I am running now are Kings. Not great but I got them cheap from a friend. I like the width of the 4x8's, but I mainly put them on for the height.

Cheers,
Simon

Good to hear the 4.00 x 8's fit... I was under the impression they wouldn't fit without rubbing.

4.00x8 tire

Here's how the different K75's compare in height, narrowest to widest:

3.50x8 - 90mm wide, 14.4" dia
4.00x8 - 100mm wide, 15.4" dia
110/80x8 - 110mm wide, 14.9" dia
120/70x8 - 120mm wide, 14.6" dia

Can't tell you what fits on a tubeless rim, sorry.

Awesome!! One reply and I get exactly the info I need. Thanks so much!

I have never had a problem with rubbing on the front. I have seen a mild rubbing mark on the clutch cover but I suspect this only happens over a big bump. I have never felt it.

I suspect 4.00x8's won't fit on the SIP rims. On standard split rims they take an extra squeeze to get the nuts on. I'm not sure if it would work on the tubeless. I'll have to ask. I'll probably stay with the 4.00x8's though as the height/diameter is quite a bit more.

A pic that sort of shows the front tire spacing.

That was always my thoughts (& experience) as well.
