Hey guys,

Another quick question. I just got a Solo seat from an S model, which is missing the bag hook (which I LOVE here in Boston) that's on the LX50 and the ET2.

The good news is that it looks like it's got the exact hardware on the pan to accept the LX50/ET bag hook. Plus, I've got a donor bag hook from an LX50 seat.

Anybody do the swap before? Just figure I'd ask twice before cutting into the pretty vinyl on the S. Looks like there's a midline seam on the S, but not the LX/ET seat.

Thanks!

When I owned an S150, I added one of the chrome bag hooks like the ones used on a PX. Looked good, fit well, worked fine.

Thanks! I thought of that...just hoping not to have to drill any holes.

Again, it looks like the hardware is there...just don't want to cut the vinyl unless I'm 100% sure. Likely going to remove a few staples first and see how that goes...

UPDATE: Well, after more close inspection...it turns out that underneath the vinyl and foam rubber, the female slot for the sliding bag hook was there! Although Iím no upholsterer, I first undid the staples for the front part of the seat...raised up the vinyl...and then cut through the foam. I also carefully cut the seam that holds the vinyl in the front best as I could...instead of the vinyl itself...and installed the hook and front plate on it...and then stapled everything back up.

No, it doesnít look perfect, but overall itís a lot better looking than the stock LX50 seat; I really wanted that slide in/out bag hook. Itís indispensable for take-out runs or runs to the supermarket.

Job done!

Interesting, lets us know how it goes. I added a vintage hook to my LXV but having the ET4 hook will be nice!

Here you go. Again, here's the finished product, which looks to the casual observer it came stock. I probably could have done a better job where the vinyl looked more taut and no ridges, but it's close enough I think for now.

The key thing was to check to see underneath if you have the slot and parts where the hook and cover (shown). I got those parts from my donor LX50 seat.

On to repairing the broken hinges on the LX50 top case I have here, let alone getting the ET2 running.

Nice work!

I grew to like and trust that bag hook on my LX150. It was much sturdier than it appeared.
