Hey everyone

Its been some time since I last posted here been watching rather than posting.

So I have owned a few P200's in my life most of them MK1 style but I bought this bike a few years ago and only got intrigued by this switch the last few weeks cant find any info online so hoping maybe someone here can shed some light.

it looks like a standard Indicator switch BUT has a button that looks exaclty as the horn button that is on the Light switch. as you can see for the photos it is a factory made switch and not a jimmy job use a light switch for the indicator side.

The guy I bought the Bike from bought it new and said it was there from day 1.

Any ideas

I cant offer anything constructive to this post other than questions of curiosity.

I see it is wired in,

is it an additional horn or a headlight flash switch?

or does it cause both indicators to flash whilst the button is pressed?

Got this from another source

Very early US Spec Vespa P-range scooters (approx pre-1980) had the headlamp and horn button on the left side switch, with indicators and engine kill switch on the right side. I reckon that's what you have here and if that's not what is connect now then maybe someone has rewired it in the past.

I've got a 79 P200, and the kill switch and indicators are on the right , whereas your pic seems to show a kill switch and horn on the left

My scoot, on the left has a horn button (just like yours) and a high/low beam vertical switch.

Does your P also have a key switch as well as the kill switch or only a kill switch.

Ignition key in the headset, above the speedometer. And my kill toggle below the housing is broken off, so I don't use it. I turn off the scoot at the key switch

I'd take pics, but the scoot is on the moving truck somewhere in Pennsylvania

This was the closest thing I could find (looking at SIP and SC) and from what I surmise, it was mostly on German P series bikes. It still does not have the kill/horn button that is on yours.

Looks like green and black to me also for kill button.

First 2 pics are of this ITEM.
Only 3 wires for the turn and yours looks like six.

Third pic is of this ITEM.
6 wires and the colors look like they match.

Both are missing the horn/kill button though.
Found them all on THIS PAGE.
Hope this helps.
