What size split/cotter pin do I need on the rear wheel of the ET4 ? I just got some 5/32 X 1 inch steel zinc plated from Home Depot, are those OK ? Looks to be the same size but it's a different color.

One of the hard core guys might have a better answer, but I had no problems with all of my years of dirt bike riding no matter what cotter pin I was using. I would either pick them up from the dealer if they were open, or at Home Depot. I just made sure that I used the same size as the original, and always used a new one everytime I took the wheel off to change tires or grease the bearings.

if memory serves i believe it's .250 inch pin diameter. you'll need one roughtly 1.125 inches long. the plating doesn't matter...

at anyrate, make sure that you torque it up properly, all the washers are in the right order and you put on the castle nut and a NEW split pin on BEFORE you put back on the muffler.

best,
