It's that time of year, and the ride (worldwide) is on Sunday September 29.

Being that I just moved and I have no clue as to where anything is in my storage unit (and the closest ride is 2 hours from here), I won't be riding this year. But I'll sponsor anyone here who's riding.

I'll be back next year, where I plan to organize the first ever DGR Lock Haven!

Until then, go to www.gentlemansride.com. And stay dapper, ride safe.

I’ll be joining the DGR in Toronto. I believe I may have two other MVers riding with me.

I missed last year’s ride because we went to Greece.

This year’s ride will be number three.

Here’s the video I made of the 2017 Toronto ride:

I will be joining the ride here for the third time, so far have raised a little over $250NZ. People are a little less willing to part with their money this year for some reason, almost all my sponsors are female.
Great day our for a couple of awesome charities.

I'm thinking about doing it this year, we'll see. I'm really not much for group rides though. However the cause is good and maybe it would be fun.

I was never a fan of the unstructured nature of the group ride, but donning a tuxedo and looking dapper made the whole experience worth it.

Ride the Ural, you'll spend all day talking to people who want to know all about it!

As I am getting my bike back this week, I'm hoping to join the Sacramento ride and encourage my riding group to attend. If I can do it, I'll post up my link and all of that stuff.

I was wondering if my GT fit the category of "Classic Scooter". I searched and found some YouTube videos of GTs and GTSs participating, so I went ahead and registered.

I'm not 100% sure I'm going to be able to participate this year as I'm still in the midst of the rebuilt title process... I should have the salvage title in-hand this week and am aiming to get it inspected and the rebuilt application submitted by week's end. After that, it depends on the state's timeline to process. Hopefully everything gets done in time!

I've looked at the "categories", and I know that on the Boston ride the guidelines were thrown out, everyone was welcome. I can't speak for other rides.

Better to ask for forgiveness than permission! I don't think they'll mind and let you roll with the group. Especially if you fundraise and bring in some Cash for the project. Dress up, ride and have fun!

I got “best modern bike” with my GT 200. Won a $200 certificate for my favorite shop. The only time I've gotten to ride with a Vincent Black Lightning....

Aha, a reference to Richard Thomson's song Vincent Black Lightning 1952, now this version is one of my all time favourite songs:

That's awesome! Vintage green GTs are pretty rad, from my completely unbiased perspective

I am going to ride my new Vespa LXV150ie in the Indianapolis ride this year. As I am getting into the age where prostate cancer is a concern and I have struggled with mental issues my whole life, the ride is personal to me. Looking for a few sponsors. Registered under Allan Toney for the Indy ride. Now to see what I have that is "dapper" in style as I cannot stand wearing ties or anything tight around my neck.

Extinguished Gentlepeople
The flip side of this hereabouts is Bikers In Blue. About 100 greasy bikers and a few scooterists showed up this morning for a wet and cold ride. Had a good time regardless, met some cool bikers and raised a decent hunk of cash for the prostate cancer foundation.

The end of September is around here at the borders of riding season, still doable but many pack their bikes even before that.

There is typically one DGR arranged in the city of Helsinki, but due to the weather, with limited participation and mainly locals. As you'd guess, around here all bikes are welcomed with riders dressed for the occasion.

So I'll do the Movember instead Not every year, but e. g. the last year I did... always hilarious to my colleagues as I'm definitely not in the Tom Selleck league.

If nothing else, please remember to check your PSA lab values yearly, all gents over 50 yrs.... and contact professionals if there is a jump at the levels.

Cool! I had not heard of this before, and happy to see that distinguished ladies are welcome.
I have a conflict this year, but will do the ride in the future, because:
a) fun
b) my spouse has prostate cancer (treated in 2018 and numbers look good) so a happy to support the cause as well. Had some very high tech radiation, treatments are getting very good.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks for posting this. I'm signed up and looking forward to riding in DC. To those hesitant about whether your scoot qualifies, the DGR definition for their Scooter category is "Metal bodied - built the old fashioned way" which is true for all Vespas. Even though my PX is only 14 years old I assume any two stroke manual counts as a classic but I would be comfortable participating on any Vespa. This is for our prostates and our mental health!

I've registered for this year's ride! I'm new to a PTW (only 800kms so far) so feeling a bit nervous doing a group ride. Looking forward to meeting some other Toronto Vespa enthusiasts and raising some funds.
