High guys, Iíve just measured my standard PIAGGIO fuel tap flow rate.
Can anyone please shed some light as to whatís acceptable on a tuned motor, big carb (30phbh)
As you can see in the photo itís flowed 500ml in approx 51 seconds.
Do these fast flow taps increase the flow rate and to what extent..??

Its fairly unlikely that you engine can consume a gallon of fuel in 8 minutes even at full throttle!

I have wondered ... if fuel flows 'better' without the breather tube, why is it there ?

I think you should be flowing more, get a fast flow for a big carb like that.

I was having chronic fuel starvation issues with my 2005 PX150 even with a stock motor and only a Road 2 exhaust. I did a number of things to try to address it, including a high flow fuel tap, a switch to 5/16" rubber fuel injector hose for my fuel line, a SIP carb float bowl spacer, and drilling the float chamber passage with a 2mm bit. I am not sure what actually corrected it, or if it was a combination of things. But, the high flow tap along with the 5/16" hose absolutely has fuel gushing out of the fuel line when it is disconnected from the carb banjo.

the other thing to watch is the big carbs tend to sit higher and can't make use of the bottom portion of the tank because fuel won't flow uphill without a pump.....
