I'm not sure if I'm missing something. You paid $2000 for it then added a top box. Now you want $3500 for a scooter that's 13 year old.

I think you are being very over optimistic on the price. The early GTS's although becoming less common, are not 'classics'. A low mileage one like yours will attract some people, but I doubt anyone will pay that sort of money for one. Lots of us add extras to our scoots, but these items tend to add little or no extra value to the resale price.

You can ask whatever, but my take is It'll sell at a thousand less than your $3500. Low miles don't mean a lot w/r/t scooters, 50% of the scooters for sale have very low miles. (USA)

Two years ago I bought my 2008 GTS with barely 2K miles for $2700. And that was even from a dealer.

The sad thing about most add-ons to a scooter or motorcycle is they seldom add much or anything to the resale value of the bike. Not that it is included in this GTS but the worst is a custom paint job!

Just checked Kelley Blue Book, may not be the best source but they list that scooter as having a Trade in value of $1,835 and a retail value of $2,720.

And the low mileage may sound good but without first hand knowledge of how it was stored for all those years it might be a negative and not a positive point.

My wife's 2013 GTV has over ten times those miles and I would not hesitate, if I was physically up to it, to take off this morning on a cross country ride. I would definitely hesitate taking a 13 year old scooter on a couple hundred mile ride without putting on some serious local trips.

Some things like ball bearings and cylinder walls can get pits in them from sitting for long periods of time without oil being circulated to protect them.

Not trying to be negative just what I feel is realistic.

@Blipvert It was you that asked for some discussion on what you were asking. I think we were all trying to add a little realism to your asking price. If you did sell it for $3100 then good for you but sensible folk wouldn't pay half that much.

Well, someone sold this one on eBay for $2434 (taken from completed listings):

There's one on sale in Oregon for way too much in my opinion, but it never hurts to try... (asking $3600 "firm"):

Best of luck to you!
