Its an aftermarket set together with the spring. I bought it originally for my VBB but never installed it. Now itll go on the SprintV.
Its stiffer than the originals.

Looks like you're in good hands, and the Vespa is pretty solid after blasting. Always liked the matte steel look after blasting. Good luck!!

Yes, the guy from the shop said it was solid (except for the floor).

On page 4 of this thread, I posted the below question:
DD_VES wrote:
Which seat would you guys put on a Sprint Veloce?
I got a lot of response and almost went for a streamline seat.
But.. I like the looks and the feel of an original seat as well. And more and more..
So.. I decided to blow up my bank account and decided to go for (I hope) a real Aquila seat.

Thoughts?

It's always a good idea to weld a brace bar between the rear of the frame and the top of the steering column before you cut the floor out. This keeps it solid and straight while the work is in progress. You have not taken the whole legshield off, so you might be ok.

It's not me doing the work
It's a professional Vespa-restorer, so I suppose he knows what he's doing..

Bodyshop took an awful amount of time. Almost one year (moved places, Covid-19, etc). Now seeing the end of it.
Hope to have it back in my garage soon so that I can start the rebuild.

Me too now.. anyone has an idea what the little hole is for?
Rear brake? Or does that also go through the same hole as the clutch/gear cables?
