Just read this article on scootering and I loved both the fact that there exists a Coke themed classic Vespa out there (I joke my one drug addiction is Coke.. not the powder kind) and the front fender headlight this guy has on his scooter.

I want that thing!

So I figured I'd post it here and see if we can get some old timers from back then to point out and label accessories you recognize on this bike, or other ones you remember which aren't on this bike.

Love me some 80s styling!

I reckon that he lost at the Pepsi Challange, because he definitely thinks that Coke is it!

Coke is it! I'll have words with anyone who says otherwise!

Yeah, first reaction!

But then... yeah, now I kinda want the damn thing as well!

Imagine showing up at a rally w/ all that storage full of ice cold cans of Coke.
It keeps lookin' a lil more cool the more stuff I notice. Any more pics around?

Ha. You gotta respect the absurdity of it! Or maybe not. I know I do!

Hahaha.. yes I think you do have to respect the absurdity. Life'd be a monotone if there weren't characters around who created stuff like this.

It's colourful I'll give 'em that much!!

I still have my Scootering magazine where they featured the "Porno Yacht" about 10 years ago. It was a pretty cool read. I'll have to search around for the issue.

Here's a seat that was made in the '80s, and which I haven't seen many of. Got it free from a friend who was getting rid of all his Vespa gear, sold it for 250 when I needed cash, immediately regretted selling it, saw my exact seat up for sale 2 years later for 40, bought it back. Will never sell it again.

Well that hinged seat is something I'd love to have, never seen one before. But I have seen this mudguard trim before, usually on a bodge. But I think this one is old and the quality is first class, but no marks. I got it from my old friend Doc Morgan and it's now part of my old VB1.

I'm digging the seat also Frank - very cool! But I couldn't help but notice the big ass eyebolt next to the grocery bag hook. To lock it up I presume?

It's probably used as a place to hang your J bolts...

Yes, it's used in tandem with another one located at the end of the left handlebar grip, to run a cable-type lock through both to lock the scooter to a pole and keep the handlebar locked sideways.

Wow, that is a serious way to make sure your scooter doesn't walk!

I can understand why some like 80's accessories and some don't.
My beat up P has some 80s plastic ...I mean nostalgia accessories with the US versions of the seat, rack and backrest. The King & Queen seat was from Gascooter (Thanks again man). The windscreen, rack and backrest was found on Ebay. The floor is metal plated with T5 floor mats on top. Had other pieces like the plastic fork cover but sold it and used the fork as an additional stabilizer for the California sidecar.
Ebay still have some 80s pieces but some prices are ridiculous when they do come up. Scooterworks still sells the backrest/BBQ rack and the plastic guards for the cowls & fender.
