This is the new Vespa designed by Sean Wotherspoon. I didn't know who he was (a famous U.S. designer?) but if this is the future of Vespa design, Vespa needs to take a serious look at itself. That is the fugliest Vespa I have ever seen.

Hey, Hey I had a Honda Elite 150cc that was red in the front and blue in the back. Had a friend that worked at a Honda dealer just out side SE Washington DC, ( The Hood ) and the drug dealers would wreck them and then the guys he got to know good and gave deals on service, they would give them to my buddy once they were totaled and he would put multiple scooters together as one. I bought my 150cc for !50 with less than hundred miles.

This is what happens with "Influencers" and all the social networks crap nowadays. Such a shame this "thing" was given the OK to go into production...

There was a guy in High School who put a Firebird front end on a Camaro. I think you would have liked it. It was a pretty good looking car. I'm surprised more people didn't do that with GM muscle cars.

Beauty is skin deep
To answer the topic title question, Hell no!

Ugly is as well and both of those scooters could be sorted out w/ a good paint job.
Not so much for this one, I think the first Vespa or whatever they called this turd is never gonna be fixed by any fancy colors.

Shoulda been painted a darker brown anyway. Oh, Piaggio...

If Paolo Martin‘s Vespa GS H20 had made it into production, it would well and truly have had my vote in the Vespa beaten with an ugly stick competition!

This seems very 80s Total Recall to me - (which is a good thing). It says futuristic rally monster. I'd be buying one of those.

How'd this all start? Blame it on a bank.
It was Manufacturer's Hanover–remember them?–when they were coming up with an idea to promote their auto-loan business. They actually had a car made for the purpose…not once, but several times. (Sometimes I think this was the influence for Johnny Cash's song "One Piece at a Time.")

Designer Creativity
I just do not have an eye for abstractions in art or design. I listen to
acknowledged artists go off into atmospheric statements about the message and meaning of their work. I got nothing here!

I think it is ugly.

I'm clearly in the minority, but I like it (or I'm at least not totally turned off by it). I'm not going to rush out to buy a brand new one, but I'd ride it without a second thought to its, um, style.
