I bought a 2009 250 last year, with 1438 miles. Coming up on 9.000 miles now. I changed fluids, added a few things to make it more comfortable for me, ran it for a while, put a set of City Grips on it, and running it some more.
Yes, that's my hope. I already got a Sport Seat and a set of front and rear running light/ flashers to light it up. It's getting a bit cold to ride but that makes for a good time to buy. Not sure yet what I'll do with my '07 GTS 250 due to circumstances it's been sitting itself for a couple years. I'm getting a trailer next week and taking both bikes in. I had not intended to buy this one but..... just look at her. I can just not understand how anyone can spend so much and then just not ride. That's good for buyers, if you are patient and search in the colder season, me I'm willing to buy sight unseen out of State and have never been disappointed. This one is an in town bike but the price was just too good so I put $500 down before I even looked at it. I guess I've bought 8 bikes over the years and my Ducati had the most miles at about 2,700 this ones about as low as you can go. I even have a name for her, I'll call her "My Bike" like all the rest, never bothered to personify my vehicles.
I paid the Blue Book "Trade In Value" for a dealer. That was her asking price on the F/B Market Page. I just called and made the deal, sight unseen. I figured even if I have to spend a few $100 to get her running, it's still a great deal. Been kept in a garage all it's life. My older one is Silver but I have heard from very reliable sources that Red IS the fastest color.
