looks like the first attempt by anyone to compete with a GTS 300 and maybe even better it. everything else in the 300 up market is a big plastic land ski

why vespa doesnt offer the 330 bv motor on the vespa chassis is beyond my understanding

I'm curious to know what the engine specs are and if it makes more power than the 2020 HPE. It's a nice scoot.

It won't fit without lengthening the scooter might be the reason.

Yeah I think I really like it & that's as an owner of a 1967 SX150. Are those 13inch wheels? The front mudguard does seem high though.

TBH this has thrown me a bit as I am in the market to replace my written-off GTS250 & was about to place an order for a new GTS300 HPE Supersport in Blu Vivace. Just wondering when this Lambretta G325 Special might actually see the light of day, as I understand it this is a prototype. I'm sure there will be inevitable delays & I can't really wait too long.

On a similar note I kinda like the new Vespa GTS300 HPE new Racing Sixties in Green/Yellow/Gold, but again when will this be released?

It's a 325, which is an odd displacement, so that leaves out a few possibilities. There isn't a visible bolt to change the rear gear oil, leaves out a few more. My guess is it's the Kymco engine used in the Downtown and People GTI 350. If they give the bore and stroke, and it matches this, the chances are that's the motor.

DOWNTOWN 350I
-Engine:
Engine Type:Single cylinder 4 stroke, SOHC, 4 valves.
Cooling: Liquid.
Max Horse Power: 30.1 HP/7500 RPM.
Max Torque: 31.4 NM /5750 RPM.
Displacement: 321 CC.
Bore X Stroke: 75.3 x 72.0 MM.
Compression Ratio: 10.7:1.

... hmmm.... just looking at the side profile: rid the ugly (... yes, traditional is another word to describe it...) headlamp, leave bare, GTV style handlebars and add a smallish, stylish led light on top of the front fender. Huh?

I like the fat seat.

Odd that the Lambretta website makes no mention of a 325. The largest offering there is the 200. Could the 325 be just a concept or a planned model for the future?

EICMA reports say it is a concept.
Speculations also that the "G-special" electric version, to be launched 2020 may look a bit like this concept....

I like some of the looks, but not all of them.

If it's a Honda motor it should sell well , as far as scooter sales go .

I applaud the group trying to bring the brand back to life.

I have owned a Hinckley , Triumph Bonneville , they got it right .

There is a certain love affair with the older brand names , and I'm all for it.

Where is it built? I heard they were closing up the Indian factory because investors were backing out.

If itís got a Kymco or Honda lump (hey...even the BMW scoot sports a KYM), and if itís priced comparably to a Vespa GTS, Iíd certainly give one a serious look.

Itís not an SX200, no, but I donít think it was ever meant to be. As a modern, TnG scooter - it ticks many, if not all, of the right aesthetic boxes. Letís just hope it can get out of its own way, and is reliable enough to get from Point A to Point B most days.
