Bob, It was cool and a bit windy on the day of the tour.
Scooter tourers are always looking for an excuse to ride somewhere.
I suggested to Ken a few months ago that a great way to see all of the state of Florida would be to visit every county courthouse.
There are 67 counties, so 67 courthouses.
And some counties retained an old one when replacing it with a new, bigger and more modern courthouse.
It has proven to be a worthwhile excuse to ride.
we see the state and meet many nice people working in and around the courthouses.
For this adventure, I rode Rocket.
It proved to be a perfect scooter for this adventure, ending up back at home just under 93,000 miles on the odometer.
And a new friend, Dan, joined us on his Smax.
Ken, Dan and I had a nice 210 mile run from Avon Park to Stuart, Ft. Pierce and Vero Beach to see three courthouses.
It was the weekend, so no inside visits, but the ride was great.
Riding through the woods in Martin County.
Looking back at Dan on his Smax.
The old Martin County Courthouse re-purposed as a Cultural Center. Ken and Dan with their machines.
Riding along the Indian River to Ft. Pierce.
The new St. Lucie County Courthouse in Ft. Pierce with Ken and Dan. We prefer the old ones.
The old Indian River Courthouse with Rocket.
The new Indian River Courthouse with Ken.
Riding back to Avon Park through Yeehaw Junction.
Empty Florida landscapes in the late afternoon can be beautiful.
And another.
