A bit of sun before the rain so a quick ride and a quick photo session. Top case on order.

Hi all. I finally got my motorcycle license not too long ago so I could get a scooter to do the short trips in my neighborhood. Was a waste to do a three mile round trip and four stops in a car. But I fell in love with scootering, decided I wanted to commute by scooter to my new job and realized my Buddy was not what I needed. I decided on a GTS 300 HPE and brought it home today. Now need to get the technique to get it on the center stand by myself.

Welcome SD
There are a lot of videos/posts about center stand mounting. Generally, stand to the left side of the scooter, right hand on the back rack behind the seat, left hand on the handlebars, right foot and all your body weight on the center stand. Then, push down with your weight, and you'll see the bike pop up onto the stand.
Out of curiosity, what kind of scooter was your Genuine? |

Great speed and maneuverability, but very uncomfortable ride if the road wasn't anything but 100% smooth. That's why I'm getting the Euro Gel seat for my scooter to help with my not so good back as well for precaution, but my rides on my GTS have not been anything but smooth even on the roughest roads |

Getting it on the stand is more about technique, not brute strength. It just takes practice. You'll get it. Welcome!

Welcome from The Salt Lake Valley in Utah. Yes, it is mostly technique and a rhythm. Left side as mentioned. Face scoot. Left hand on handlebar and brake if needed. Right hand on passenger grip. Right foot on stand. Push with foot while pulling up with right hand. One motion. It will become easy. Grippy shoes help. Good luck & enjoy.

How not to but it on the center stand
This gentleman had just picked up his scooter for the Scooter Cannonball. This is a honest video of what happened. (This later was in the movie ScooterCannonball Run the documentary)
Lawson finally figured it out. |

Welcome to MV.
You will get comfortable getting the scooter on that center stand soon, but I know it can be tricky until you get the hang of it. My wife has been riding her Yamaha Zuma 125 to Yoga classes. We worked on center stand technique but settled on using the side stand for now. Bill |

Even the very hot asphalt is unstable. |

Pics forthcoming, the sun was going down when I got it home and we are now expecting 3+ days of rain so it is in my badly lit garage. Maybe a side stand till you learn the technique? Ironically my BV 350 pops up noticeably easier than my 300. Yet the 350 also came with a side stand. Ride safe! |

The key, as you've found out, is putting both centerstand feet on the ground and putting all you weight on the center stand by standing on the centerstand lever. Ther is a technique to it all and it sounds like you'll master it.
Lovely color and welcome from Santa Cruz Miguel |

First slight modification - the Sei Giorni seat instead of the stock. The black looks much better and the seat is incredibly comfortable

Welcome and glad to see you have your new bike. As mentioned above, your low weight is not an issue for getting the bike on the centre stand. It's all about technique. Enjoy!

Also a great aesthetic improvement, you can add protection pipes on the sides (useful) and the small sports windshield.
