Hi Folks.

I'm from Singapore and I ride a vespa PX150 , manufactured in 2009. but I have been riding vespa for 25 years.

I recently purchased bitubo suspension for the front and the rear.

I customised the spacer nut that sat between the suspension and rubber dampener that connected to the bike.

The difference to the bike is so great, that I am sitting down immediately after test riding it to spread the good word.

A solid continuous support from the suspension to the bushing to the body.

Let me upload the pictures in follow ups.

I hope this helps.

The spacer nut

These are the spacer nuts. The recognisable stock nut we are familiar with is on the right.

I custom made them in 3 different sizes, so as to be able to customised the ride height.

The spacer nuts after they are installed onto the suspension.

As you can see, instead of the spacer nut being the stock skinny nut which is then attached to the rubber dampener, I have the whole suspension weight on the custom nut , which is then connected to the dampener.

The difference to the ride is positive. I feel more connected to the rear now on corners. I also feel, the rebounds are immediate. Neither do I feel like the bike is going to lift off at high speeds.

Dimensions
I am sorry guys, if I am spamming my own post this is not my intend.

I am just trying to break up the information into parts.

The dimensions of my nut is as follows.

Length of 45mm, 55mm, and 65mm, each with the following specifications.

- 30mm in diameter
- female x m9 x 1.25pitch by 20mm depth
- male x m9 x 1.25pitch by 10mm bolt
- 27mm cutout in the middle of the extension bolt.

I had ordered them from a gentlemen on ebay,

https://www.ebay.com.sg/usr/customturnings

and he charged me what I thought was a fair price. A very fair price, just 2.5x the price of the same stock bolt in SIP.

I hope that this experience share helps everyone. I feel it is a lifechanging hack and should be implemented at the next suspension change.

By the way, if you do customised and decide to get the bolt from him, can you tell him to reduce your extension bolt to 8mm, I feel it will be a better fit with the rubber damper.
