Evening all
Just bought a set of 200 Malossi casings and it says on the booklet to use silicon sealant.
Is this a must or can I use a SIP crankcase gasket ?
Which sealant would you recommend if not?
Many thanks

I would do exactly what Malossi said since they know best for their product.

Dirko grey or Yamabond. Same as any case without gaskets like a motorcycle or VW/Porche

Nice video by FMP explaining why you need to use a sealing mass on the Malossi cases.

Any chance you would post a pic of the instructions? I just grabbed a Malossi 200 case from Ebay but they were slightly used (PO had installed brake backing plate and shoes and a couple of bearings, and I don't have any instructions.

PO said it was the "old style Malossi cases", not sure what that means as to need for silicone.

The "old" Malossi cases are basically reproduced originals. They need a gasket...
