Does anyone know what it is?

It was the first time I had ever seen one, and it put my mind at rest chasing a problem.

Tool for testing spark. Did your spark jump the gap?

Yeah it is, I used it on my lamby as I'm having starting problems and was trying to determine if the coil was bad.

I used it cold first and that was the gap the spark jumped and then warmed the engine and it jumped the same gap so this proved to me it wasn't the coil. I'm running 12 volts and that is a decent gap to jump. I'm going to try it on my 6V vespa to see if there is any difference.

I'll get another new plug just in case and then I think I'm on an engine strip down in the spring to change the bearings and seals as I'm not sure of the condition of them anyway.

It's a niffty little gadget I borrowed from a work colleague and looking on the net they are only about 6 so I'll buy one.
