Just bought a new 2016 MP3 500ie (even though it's now 4 years old). Brand new with full warranty. I used to own an MP3 250 which I loved. Not sure why I got rid of it. Anyway... the 500 is massively heavier and more top-heavy... and the seat is outrageously higher. To the point where my feet are barely touching the ground.

For my 250, I had purchased a custom saddle from Corbin. But they no longer make saddles for Piaggio scooters. Can anybody recommend someone who makes a custom seat for my 2016 MP3 500ie? One that would get my feet closer to the ground?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Ken

Try the Piaggio Gel comfort seat. It's quite supple and you sort of sink in it vs. the standard saddle which is one grade below bricklike in hardness.

Made a world of difference, at least to me.

I would suggest you go to a local upholstry shop that does car seats and boat seats and talk to them on what you need for your seat. Alot of them can cut the foam down and resize the covering for minimal costs.

I have the Piaggio Gel on both my MP3/250, and MP3/500, really like them.
As I am getting older, my back has got worse on long rides.
The Gel helps a bunch.
But, my MP3/250, with the Car Tire has a more comfortable ride then the MP3/500.
