I must be born in the wrong time. I fully understand the films from the thirties, but the video from 2016 is just nonsense to me. In the old films they took the time to explain with words what happened, and how it was connected to the rest of the engine. In the modern video, it is expected that the wiever is much more visually oriented, and no help is given. I just hope the modern wiever understands it.

You hit the point, the old educational films started from afar explaining the basics first; today it is assumed that those interested in technical topics already have basic technical information and in any case there is a certain aptitude for understanding the topic in question. But today culture is taken a little here and a bit and put together it is believed to have enough to complete the general picture.
