Most definitely Hibbert, had the frame and casing welded, gave the engine and parts a good cleaning, replaced all the bearings and seals, rebuilt the clutch, put the gears back together unsure if I,ve them the correct way round,in terms of which side? Sent off the paperwork for registration, getting there slowly

How do I confirm I,ve put the gears on the right way round,I took a picture of the gears when I removed them, but only just realised it's not a good picture,I've put them on best I could ,just need to confirm they're on correct ,any advice please would be appreciated
Don't know if the gears are like p200 gears but these pictures should give you and idea. http://modernvespa.com/forum/topic116141?highlight=gear+stack+order

In summary, flat side of gear against lip side of next gear.

You can also look for markings from the gears rubbing in the past.

Someone with hands on knowledge of this particular motor may chime in and advise if this is incorrect.

Good luck!

Engine rebuild is coming along nicely, had a look at the flywheel inner ,seems to be a couple of panels missing, will this affect the running or starting of the scooter?

I think there's nothing missing. Note that there is no hole to support on top of the "missing" pannels. IMHO is designed like that. Mine looks pretty much the same. Good luck! Looks nice.

very good did you find the license plate under the other one? Something in me wants to seal/prime the bare metal above the tail light.
