Hi there I have takin of all the plastic panels to spray paint my Vespa Et4 and now when I'm putting it back together I need some help with the electrical connections for the headlight etc can't get it to work so if anyone here could send me a link or walk me through the steps would be awesome I have considered changing the headlight or upgrading so if anyone have a recommendation I appreciate it I'll add some photos so you can see what I'm dealing with. thank in advance for any help:)
the first photo is of the connections for the CDI (white) and the black rectangle is a fuse block (check to see that they're good).
the second and third photos are for the brake switch connections.
the headlight connection is purple, brown & black. the yellow and gray (some times black) is for the running light.
you'll need to connect your headlight switch in order for it to function (that's the red thing to the right in one of your photos) there's enough lead in the wiring that you can test for function before reassembling everything.
everything fits in its own connector so you can't really mix it up. you'll probably have one or possibly two additional two gang connections left over. one is for running lights (euro version) and the other is accessory (ie cigarette lighter).
if you're this far in, i'd suggest going with a euro headlight conversion. but i'd get it all working first.
It appears we have similar scooters. Can you still tell me if the wires I circled in your pic from 4/13 are pink and blue-white?
I suddenly seem to have an issue with my turn signals - probably User Error - and the signal switch includes these colors. Can't see where it attaches. Does yours have a corresponding connector someplace>
