I inadvertently cut through the front ABS sensor (don't ask long story).....Anyway I've got a new loom on order and would like to know what plastic work needs removing to re-connect, i can see it goes inside the leg shield but no idea where it goes from there ??

It isn't possible to just splice in a bit of wire?

Soldering iron and heat shrink tubing is all you need.

yup just repair it. they also make connectors you just stick wires in and het with a hair dryer and it melts the solder and heat shrinks all in 1. no need for a soldering iron and separate heat shrink.

MP3 500 sport ABS loom
Thanks for all your replies guys, very much appreciated.

Obviously i'd solder the wires had there been enough length to solder, the wires where cut right at the point where the wires go into the sensor so difficult to wire when you've only got 1mm to play with.

Haven't had an answer as to what plastic work needs taking off so your advice would help.....

Possible to cut the connector you need off the new loom? Seems a shame perhaps but to me it would be a lot less work to cut that one part off, and splice it in your existing loom.

You are soldering the connections, right?
Make sure to get good connections. ECU's don't like resistance on wires.
