This morning I installed a new original Vespa fixed luggage rack on my 2020 Vespa GTS.

I want to mount a camera pole on the rack and found this thread in the center that could be very useful in creating the base for my camera mount.

Before I have to go to the hardware store and buy a hand full of screws to figure out what thead size this is. I though to ask this forum to see if I can get a quick answer

First guess, M6

PossiblY M8 its hard to tell from the picture.

You could borrow an M6 from the belt cover to check...

Actually the bike is lousy with M6 screws.... seat hinge, seat latch cover.... just lift one for a moment to check the fit. Saves you a trip to the hardware store.

Just make sure you put the silly thing back in the same hole you stole it from once you know.... then off the the store as an expert!

Thanks for your reply.
I found a fitting screw in my box. It looks like a US tread and not metric.
Will take it to the hardware store and confirm its size using one of their screws in the drawers....

I doubt very seriously it's SAE. Only metric threads and fittings on a Vespa or any Piaggio accessory.
