Here are some photos of my SS180 project. I rebuilt my V90 from the ground up and even did the bodywork and paint. I remember how tiring it was so I opted out of this one. I only did some frame preparation but I had most of it and the painting done by a local shop. I am also having a local mechanic assemble the engine. I am, however, doing all the assembly work on this SS. I'm keeping my hands clean for this one.

Some how I managed to lose most of the before photos. It was in quite good shape with very little surface rust, no rot anywhere. It had been painted yellow and was done quite poorly. The engine case needed some welding but over all it is not bad. There were a few aftermarket parts that needed replacing like the speedometer, all three frame badges, seat, grips, center stand, 12 volt stator coils (switched back to 6 volt), HT coil, and mudguard. Major pieces like the carburetor, air cleaner, cowls, and front suspension were all there. It was missing the aluminum cowl and mudguard strips. Original mudguard strips were no problem to find, but the original cowl strips were quite difficult to find. The holes had been filled with Bondo, so it was easy to fit original strips as the existing holes are correct.

Nice. Something especially satisfying about seeing OG parts on a freshly painted scoot.

Unfortunately, the previous owner welded up the holes for the rear Super Sport badge. I have an original Bomisa badge. I would like to know the distance from the top outer edge of the tail light rubber up to the bottom edge of the badge on both the left and right sides.

I could just eyeball internet photos and drill holes, but it would be nice to have some measurements.

If there are SS180 owners out there who could help me with a measurement, I'd be grateful.
