A month ago I received a phone call from my friend, Drew.
I missed it, finding it on my missed calls part of the phone.
So I called him back.
He said that he hadn't called, and it must have been a butt dialed call.
While we were talking I asked if he was planning any rides this summer.
He said no and the reason was that he was getting a knee replacement in August.
We then talked about our previous two rides that started in Denver, these in 2011 and 2013.
So we decided to plan a quick trip.
Best butt call ever.
Drew picked up Max and drove it out. I met him in Denver after a 3 hour, nonstop flight on Southwest.
He had picked up Damon to ride my old Honda that I sold to Drew a few years ago.
One night in Denver, three in Breckenridge and one back in Denver before I returned on another three hour flight to Jacksonville.
We had a great time. Four rides of 200 to 250 miles each.
Destinations included Leadville, Steamboat Springs, Grand Lake and Pikes Peak.
He drove home with Max in the truck.
In two weeks the scooter traveled 3500 miles in the truck and 950 riding through the Rocky Mountains.
