which way does the nut turn for the drive cog on the end of a small frame crank. Ive bent the lock washer back, tried a bit of heat and product and it wont move.

which way and Ill get some help from Issac Newton ( a big pipe on the ratchet handle)

Suspect itís the same on a smallie but donít have one on hand to confirm.

Its been a while but I dont remember anything goofy about the threads so counter clockwise to remove. Only should be torqued down about 36 ft/lbs.

What are you using to hold the crank? Conrod tool or penny in the gears?

Ya nut comes off normal direction (anti to undo)
The HP4 has a plastic fan and the fly holding tool did not work as I could feel and see the blades flexing.

soooo I jammed the end of my leather belt in between clutch cog and the drive the cog without even taking the belt off.
