Any MV'ers attending the rally this weekend? I'll be there, and would love to put some faces to Names; while practicing social distancing of course
Unfortunately I wont be riding, but will be there for Sat-Sun events.

I'm trying to get motivated to ride the 130 miles down there. I'd probably just hop on the i-5 to get there.

What a blast I had! I only went to the Friday and half of Saturdays ride, but a very fun, well organized ride with amazing roads, weather, twisties, sleepy towns, etc.
It was essentially an old school rally with a cue sheet that I taped to the headset. 50 miles as fast and safe as you could go with two checkpoints, then lunch, then the same back. I didn't do the back half after lunch (prior commitments) but what I did do was phenomenal. Three lammys passed Chris and I and we hung on to these guys for an adrenaline filled, straightaway flying, corner knee dragging fun. Until we passed them at the gas fillup And I met GeekLion (Jesse)! It is so nice to put a face to a name. Very cool dude. I should've got a picture with him. I didn't take near the pictures I'd have liked, but I've got some good memories. One of the lammy dudes had this scull hanging from his legshield mirror and in the corners the scull was almost on the ground. And the smell of 2 stroke in a big group. Watching the bikes ahead dump into a corner - flippin awesome!!! Me and Chris being Covid appropriate - or bandits - ha!

The adrenaline rush of winding it out in 3rd, then hitting both brakes and downshifting and pitch it over in the corner while you wind it up in 2nd and shoot out of the corner while shifting to 3rd, then line up the next corner, and over and over.
The dance of riding the Twisties fast. It was so bitchen... My number and Sticker

Here are some photos I took Saturday. There were a wide range of scooters - even some modern Vespas. The ride went through some beautiful countryside.

This Rally was super fun! Although I didn't get get to ride, I was able to tag along for the Saturday and Sunday events. I even got to help a bit with the rollout and check point timing. Super fun!
One of the highlights was meeting gascooter-Scott and scootnewb-Chris. Definitley good to put faces to names, you guys are awesome. Thanks for being so nice, and inviting me to ride with you. Looking forward to meeting up for a ride on the Oregon coast. The time trials seemed super fun, and I hope to be rolling through the curves next year. Everyone was talking Nonstop about the amazing route! Joe and the Top Dead Center club hosted a fun, well thought out event. I am new to the area, and this was my first time attending an event in Oregon. All the people I met, and the hosts were extremely Welcoming. Looking forward to the next TDC event! Btw- the red T5 is my friend from Seattle Gabriel. It is the #5 electric start T5 ever made. It won Best Vespa

It was great to meet you Jesse! It'll be fun to run up the coast one of these days. And thanks for the pic! That T5 was awesome...
And wasn't it just a laid back, yet nicely organized event? Very cool group. |

Thanks for sharing the great pics , had to laugh at some of the Observes on the list, especially the Observe Don't Die Corner.

Sounds like a great day.
You must have been seeing corners in your mind still as you fell asleep. Like the Covid hair do as well. 🙂 Well done to the lads that organized. Looks like a great success. |

Well, the 2022 rally was rained out and moved to June 3rd-5th.
The Top Dead Center SC still put on a ride for Saturday though, a garage ride to club members garages. This way if it did dump buckets of rain, at least we could huddle in someone's garage for a break in the storm. Turns out there was very little rain which was perfect for the garage run. I met the gang at Griff's Pub and had eggs, bacon, hash browns, and a pancake while BSing with Chris, Will, and Andrew. Will & Andrew came up from Humboldt. First stop was English Dave's garage, and he builds some beautiful engines. He'll forget more than I'll ever know Then it was Mike's garage, with five prestige scooters. Then Joe's garage - Lambretta USA president and TDC organizer, and all around great guy. After that, it was Geoff's pad, and I aired up my back tire and BSed with the Lammy guys about fuel taps. Then to Pete's house for some fantastic chili and cornbread, and coffee. I rode back to the van and loaded up and headed home after that. There were more festivities planned but time was finished for the day. It was a blast of a day and great to see the garages and talk scooters. What a great bunch of guys! https://www.relive.cc/view/vYvrLz5KBL6 I love this scooter transport vehicle...
