Hello.. I am pretty new here and just got my 2009 MP3 500 w/ approx 5k miles.

I am experiencing erratic tachometer on the rpm gauge.
Any idea what caused bouncy tach?

The engine idles fine and accelerate w/o any hesitation.

Tach intermittently swipes to to high rpm then back to the current engine rpm.
Sometime it drops down to 0 rpm while the engine is running at higher rpm for 1-2 seconds and back points at normal rpm

Then no issue for a while.

Then intermittently comes back bouncing around like the above.

Here's a good video I found that is closely resemble my tach issue:
Something is loose, any pointers which part I need to pay attention to?

That's a symptom of the tach losing power for a moment. At switch-on the stepper motor always does a full sweep.
