i left the ignition switch on for 2 hours, and my 2009 Piaggio MP3 500 will not turn over now. There is no current going to the handbrake micro switch. The running lights, horn, signals work, dash lights up. i cannot read enough on the Piaggio Manual Schematic to determine where the micro switch is powered from. Anyone know of a decent electrical schematic, or what might be a likely cause?
Thank You,
John

Dead battery. Do you have a tender you can use to charge it with?
Some tenders won't charge a battery that's totally dead.

With the wiring diagram, I was able to trace the test this circuit to stop light/starting function. Sillie but true, it is the fuse for this circuit, which I visually inspected a number of times, and it still looks fine, but has a non visible break shown with a continuity test.
Never assume anything, Ha!

Good job! Thanks for letting us know! It makes sense that it wouldn't start if the brake light fuse were blown- the brake needs to be pulled before the starter will engage.
